Devil Dressed In Yellow
AKA- Bucky

Bucky's real name is "Devil Dressed in Yellow". This Palomino gelding is a beautiful gelding. We call him "Bucky" because he is dark gold, with a few white hairs on his forehead. He has big dapples all over.  "Bucky" loves people.   When we purchased "Bucky" from Red Hills Quarter Horses, we thought he was going to be small and stocky.  Boy, were we wrong. "Bucky" just keeps growing.  He is now almost the biggest horse in the barn, just behind Leigha and Tuff.  "Bucky's kind, patient nature makes him a favorite therapy horse.  He is the only branded horse in the barn, wearing an RH brand on his thigh.

Bucky comes from Qtr Horse racing stock and has many race winners, and money-earners in his pedigree. "Bucky's" sire ,"Two Moore Friday" was sired by "Two Straws Moore" who sired 4 APHA Champions, Superior Halter & Performance Pt. Earners, Futurity winners in AQHA, APHA, PHBA &ApHC. He was sired by "Double L Straw" who had (40) Halter Pts., (8) Performance Pts., AAA & ROM Racing, SI-95, 13-3-1-3, $14,145. Sire of AQHA CH, ROMs, Superior Halter& Performance, AAA, and producing daughters. He was sired by "Jackstraw JR" who was a TB, with quite a record, SI-95, AAA, 6-1-0-1, $808. "Two Straws Moore" dam "Lady Ben Moore" was a AQHA Champion, Show ROM; and was a dam of show, and using horses." Bucky's" granddam "Victoria Air Cor" had (30) Performance Pts. in Western Pleasure, her Grandsire was "Double Dancer" who had SI-95, AAA, 8-1-1-0, $646, 12 Pts. Race ROM, and was sired by "Double Bid" AAAT, SI - 100, 46-16-7-6, $43,142; AQHA ROM Race , Stakes winner, and 1959 Champion Quarter Running Stallion. "Bucky's" dam "Docs Dandy Moon" goes back to "Top Moon" on both sire and dams side. "Top Moon" had a SI-100, AAAT, 40-15-9-5, $40,636. and AQHA Hall of Fame, AQHA ROM Race, and sired 1829 foals. "Bucky" moves like a hunter, he could go pleasure or Hunter but he is currently being ridden western.

After moving to Jake's Flat Farm, Bucky has had to learn a new job as a therapy horse. He is a favorite ride to many children, adolescents, and adults.  His calm patient nature makes him a favorite to dress up and play with.  We look forward to many years of Bucky's good work.
